Injustice

A brief summary to this story is that Abedini is in prison for being Christian, and is still on trial, whenever that will occur.  The Iranian government has violated basic Human rights. Around the world nations and governments are being asked to rally against this injustice, while Abedini is sitting in jail with an eight year sentence on his head for his beliefs.

My first opinion on this is that there are some messed up governments in the world and the way they works is beyond stupid.  A government in the 21st century that is denying religion to a man, this sounds like hogwash, but it’s happening in other countries as well as Iran.  Those nations to blame should all together, in one big group, be brought to justice for the harm they cause people.  These nations sit in the proverbial corner of the proverbial room, waiting to see what trouble that they cause next.  Now that that’s been said, I want to say that every man, woman, and others of the human species that can communicate are aloud to their opinion of everything in the whole world.  I say think what you will, but remember that there are always people in the world who think only they are right.

If you have an opinion you want to share write a comment, please, sharing your opinion is the only way to put your uniqueness out into the world.

TSA and Privacy

Backscatter machines may be allowed again if the company develops the required software.

(Article: http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/18/travel/tsa-body-scanners/index.html?hpt=us_c2)

The TSA’s decision to remove graphic body scanners is wonderful.  That decision shows that it is putting privacy concerns at the forefront of its attention by showing that both it and many others care about our privacy while maintaining our safety.  I think that having a generic non-discriminatory image appear on the scanner instead of someone’s actual image is much more private, and I believe most people would agree with me.  I do believe that technology is the highest form of stopping possible terrorists, but it’s exactly that, just possible.  The fact of the matter is that there are body scanners that scan with the precision of, well for a lack of better words, a really good body scanner, and having these machines is going a little overboard.  I only wish the TSA could take these machines out sooner.  Unfortunately, the task of removing these anti-privacy scanners is projected to be complete in June, so for now those machines are still out there.  If there was any way to speed up the process or to have come to this decision quicker that would have been great, but what’s done is done and, thank you God, it’s for the better not the worse.

About Me

I'm Nathan Skalka, and I play in the band.  I play the trumpet, and am a part of the Prep Jazz Band.  I have been to Chicago, Denver, and Washington, D.C.  My favorite food is noodles and mash potatoes, separate of course.  I love to swim and in my spare time program for the iOS and Mac OS.  When I am out of college I will be a programmer or computer designer.I sadly don't have a favorite football or sport team for that matter, but I like to play hockey and baseball.
