Gang rape in South Africa

17-year-old South African girl, Anene Booyson, was gang raped then mutilated to death.  This act has caused an outrage among the majority of South Africa.  More because of how far out of the main cities she lived, she lived in Bredasdorp.  Although, gang rapes much more common in South Africa compared to the United States of America.  About four minutes is the average time a person is raped in South Africa.  Even President Jacob Zuma has cast his opinion about the matter saying that this act is an outrage and that the courts should give a heavy penalty to the men responsible for this crime.

This is horrible story of a relatively young girl that had a horrible thing happen to her.  I can’t believe how outrageous this whole thing is.  The fact that this happens so often in South Africa is just heart wrenching, the men are insane, and with no true role model to depend upon.  These men and all people who rape others should be put to immediate justice in every form of the word.  The problem is most of this is happening in another country that United Stats of America can’t judge for.  Show your response in a commentary form below.

Egyptian Man Beaten

A man stripped and beaten by government police now claims on state television that is was the protesters who assaulted him, who some feel he was intimidated to say on television.  48-year-old Hamada Saber was stripped naked and beaten by police in full riot gear on February 1st. Yet, another video of him saying it was the police combined with his daughter’s account of what happened seems to counter his TV claim and points the finger back at the soldiers.  Soldiers of all ranks, from majors to generals, are apologizing to this man in his hospital wing and the government has put this incident under investigation.

This man is a little crazy because of his actions through all of this.  First of all, he could have been intimidated or just messed up enough in the head not to understand what the soldiers were doing to him; I’d choose the former because it makes the most sense.  Second of all, I have to say that it is hard to find someone who will forgive the people who beat him in his own hospital room.  Furthermore, the rebellion that is occurring in Egypt is also a large concern of the world and news posts of this nature show that someone else beside themselves care about these kinds of events.
